Description
Bell stilts prevent low-fire ceramic glazed pieces and copper enameled ware from sticking to the kiln shelf. You can use a stilt up to 2000 Degrees F., but at higher temperatures, your glazed pieces must be "dry -footed" and placed directly onto a kiln-washed shelf.
Bell stilts are a complete system for separating even the most difficult glazed pieces from your shelf. Bell stilts take the chore out of glaze firing.
The pins in a Bell stilt are of the finest allow metal embedded in a high density elastic body that resists breakage. Points stay sharp even after supporting heavy pieces repeatedly. Bell stilts have a three point base, which eliminates "rocking" found in four point stilts.
Select a stilt large enough to firmly support your pieces. You can use two or more stilts under one piece.
