Duncan Courtyard Art Glazes

These unique, self antiquing, lead free matte glazes result in rich varied color. The contrasting color produced during firing provides exotic finishes on flat and textured clay surfaces. Courtyard Art Glazes work will with Concepts Underglazes for Bisque.


Tips and Techniques

  • Courtyard Art Glazes can be applied with a sponge, spritz bottle or brush.
  • Spritzing: Use an industrial spray bottle on mist setting for base coat coverage. For full coverage, mix 1/2 Courtyard Art Glazes and 1/2 water, and spritz on 3 to 4 coats of mixture. Lighter colors will require 4 or more coats for solid coverage.
  • Detail over Spritzing: Mix 1/2 Concepts color and 1/2 water. Use the stream setting on spray bottle to create thin lines of color, spots or drip effects.
  • Courtyard Art Glazes are overglaze compatible.

    • Note: CY110 Iron Ore is not food safe due to its textured surface.
