Manganese Dioxide 60/80
Description
Manganese Dioxide produces browns, purples and blacks in lead glazes. It produces amethyst in potash glazes and reddish violet in soda glazes. With cobalt, copper and iron it will make ceramic black. If more than 5 percent is used in clay bodies, the clay may bloat, especially in reduction firing. Toxic if inhaled or ingested.
