Description
Lithium Carbonate is a powerful flux, especially when used with potash and soda feldspars. As little as 1% can have an appreciable effect.
In glazes it reduces thermal expansion, increases brightness of colors and increases the firing range.
Cobalt and copper develop beautiful lithium blues in glazes containing over 10 percent lithium.
